Military child painted rock, dandelion painted rock

$23.00

Welcome to Affinity Stones!

Do you have or know a Military child? Each year, April is set aside as a military child appreciation month, officially known as Month of the Military Child. With its start in the mid-1980s, the Pentagon and other military support organizations and agencies use the month to recognize military kids for their sacrifice and bravery on the homefront.

The term “military brat” is a badge of pride worn by generations of kids who traveled the world with their parents, moving into adulthood with the knowledge that they have the strength to handle anything. Military children deal with separations, deployments, frequent moves and even their parents’ injuries as part of the life they were born into or entered with their families. Because purple is a color used to represent all military services, the color is also used to represent the military child.

While April is the official appreciation month, the bravery and resilience of these children deserves to be honored and recognized at all times of the year. This unique keepsake rock will be sure to delight your special child, and will serve as a tangible and permanent reminder that they are remembered and appreciated all year long. It can be given anytime, such as a birthday, or as support for a child whose parent is leaving or has left on deployment.

My rocks are hand painted with attention to detail. But, because each rock is individually hand crafted, no two will ever be exactly alike. Rocks that are made to order and can be closely replicated as picture shows. I can also customize an assortment to coordinate with  wedding or party theme colors. Each rock is individually created for you and production times may vary.  I strive to ship within 5-7 days of receiving an order, but larger numbers or more intricate details may delay shipping times.
